在20年前很難想像，台灣的面板業會如此的蕭條…… 二十年前，面板產業身為台灣「兩兆雙星」核心，風光無限。友達、奇美、中華映管等「面板五虎」稱霸全球，市占率居高不下，產值邁入兆元，是工程師趨之若鶩的黃金產業，也是台灣科技實力的驕傲。 沒有人預料到，這股榮景會急轉直下。韓廠率先轉向 OLED 搶占高端，中國大陸廠商憑藉龐大資本與規模擴產，將 LCD 價格壓至極低。台灣面板廠在技術轉型與資金投入上節節落後，昔日五虎相繼整併、虧損甚至破產，如今僅剩友達、群創苦撐。 從產業龍頭到邊緣求生，從高成長到毛利微薄，台灣面板業的盛極而衰，寫下了產業發展中最令人唏噓的一章。
